Mathilde at the workshop

Mathilde · Artisan in Normandy

Welcome
to the Workshop!

My name is Mathilde, I am an upholsterer and lampshade maker. I work in my workshop by the sea in Normandy.

As a craftswoman, I use my technical skills to restore antique or damaged chairs and lampshades.

The taste of handmade

Plays that tell a story
a story

Close to nature, I have created a collection of upcycled lighting fixtures that combine artisanal know-how and the recycling of objects or fabrics: dormant stock, pots or bottles destined to be thrown away, scraps of fabric, foam or wood, out-of-use seats...

Each piece I create tells a unique story and reflects my commitment to sustainable craftsmanship. I invite you to discover my creations and share your project with me!

Sustainable craftsmanship

Responsible creativity,
This is important to me!

Inspired by the nature that surrounds us, I am convinced that we can create beautiful things while taking care of our planet. That's why I favor eco-friendly materials like horsehair, cotton, and linen. Moreover, my commitment to more sustainable consumption is valued by the Ecomaison Approved Repairer label ↗ .
